CIU to host ICDA’23 International Conference
Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture of Cyprus International University (CIU) will be organizing the International Design and Architecture Conference (ICDA’23) on May 25th – 26th , 2023.
The conference to be hosted by CIU and presentations will be in four different categories: Design and Theory, Design and Urbanism, Design and Technology, and Design and Ecology.
Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Prof. Dr. Cemil Atakara stated that many national and international participants experts in their fields will attend the conference and noted that those who wish still have time to apply to the conference with an abstract until March 31, 2023.
Atakara said Prof. Dr. Derya Oktay and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaham Alalouch are the invited speakers, and added “Many academic paper presentations will be made in 8 different sessions within the scope of ICDA'23. All kinds of multidisciplinary work related to architecture and design will be accepted for presenting.”
The conference presentations will be in line with new generation technologies, while production and design presentations will include being economical, digitalism, energy efficiency, sustainable urbanism, building technologies, building design, green building, landscape, interior architecture, graphic design, painting, sculpture, and restoration. He noted that these varied topics will demonstrate both the relationship of different disciplines with each other and also the interaction of the participants with the disciplines.
Atakara emphasized that the main purpose of ICDA'23 is to bring together leading academics and researchers to share their experiences and research, and said, “Furthermore, ICDA'23 will create the opportunity for academicians to receive feedback in a scientific environment through discussions and communicate with professionals from other countries and institutions.”
Atakara added that studies from many different fields, especially from fields such as design, production, the economic dimension and applications in accordance with technologies of today and the future, will both ensure the relationship between different disciplines and connect the participants with other disciplines.
