Cyprus International University (CIU), which attaches importance to accreditation, continues its accreditation processes at full speed.
Psychological Counseling and Guidance, English Language Teaching and Preschool Education programs of the CIU Faculty of Education applied for the accreditation of their programs to the Evaluation and Accreditation Association of Faculty of Education Programs (EPDAD) in July 2019.
Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Yalın, Dean of the Faculty of Education, stated that a self-evaluation report and pre-evaluation documents related to quality indicators were prepared for each of the three programs.
Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Yalın gave information about the accreditation activities initiated. He said, “As a faculty our studies on planning, implementation and evaluation, educating academic staff, the development and success of students, support and guidance services, faculty-school cooperation, learning resources (facilities, library and equipment), development and improvement of management and quality assurance systems, continues.
Prof. Dr. Yalın pointed out that accreditation activities are an opportunity for institutions to evaluate and improve themselves for quality-oriented education. He mentioned that as the CIU Faculty of Education, they give importance to this process and will make good use of this opportunity.
Prof. Dr. Yalın said self-evaluation reports and other documents were examined by EPDAD experts. They aim to provide the highest quality education and training to students as a faculty, he said.
