2019-2020 Academic Year Fall Semester Graduation Ceremony

Continuing to grow steadily for 23 years and becoming one of the major higher education institutions of the region, Cyprus International University (CIU) has a total of 250 Master's and Doctorate graduates in the Fall Semester of the 2019-2020 academic year, increasing the number of graduates to over 15 thousand.

The ceremony, which was held in the Conference Hall of CIU Çevik Uraz Center hosted CIU Administration, Faculty Deans, Schools, and Institute Directors and academic staff  as well as the graduates and their families with high participation.

CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri said that the young people who graduated from different programs of the university shared their joy during the opening ceremony: “We are here to have a farewell with pride”.

Prof. Dr. Nadiri pointed out that the total number of graduates exceeds 15 thousand and added:  "The University has also completed the establishment of two new faculties, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry, in the 2019-2020 academic year, and has begun student admissions. CIU proceeds its way as a comprehensive university providing Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree and Doctorate Degree in more than 200 fields”.

Prof. Dr. Nadiri highlighted that in addition to the increase in graduate programs, there is also a significant increase in demand for graduate programs. The university is an important scientific center that raises education and science people not only for our country but also for the region and various countries in the world.

Rector Nadiri addressed to the graduates in his speech: “The degree that you have earned from Cyprus International University, shows that by experiencing different cultures and developing your knowledge and skills, you are fully prepared for the next step in your career journey”.

The Rector also mentioned that he believes graduates will be able to quickly climb the career ladder as dynamic, productive and creative new members in the sector they will be employed in: “I wish you keep in touch with us as a part of our growing family of alumni, no matter where your future success story takes you”.

CIU graduation ceremony that can be watched live from the Cyprus International University YouTube channel ended with the convocation ceremony and a group photo shooting of the graduates after the presentation of the diplomas.
