4 different doctoral programs in Dentistry
The admission of doctoral students across the majors Periodontology, Prosthetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, affiliated with the Cyprus International University (CIU) Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, has begun admitting students.
Noting that registration has been performed for the Periodontology, Prosthetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery programs, for the 2021-2022 Academic Year, CIU Faculty of Dentistry Dean Prof. Dr. Ömer Engin Bulut added that the language of education for all of the programs is English.
Expressing that their aim is to produce graduates who are contemporary and at international standards, Bulut explained that they are raising the students to be in the position to provide an advanced level health service, and who are clinically and scientifically equipped.
Stating that they prepared a training program that will ensure the doctoral students will become researchers, questioning, analytical and critical within the abovementioned areas, Prof. Dr. Bulut noted that due to this, not only do they aim to raise individuals who are experts in their fields, but also aim to raise scientists who have developed communication skills, adhere to the rules of ethics, who have a developed awareness of lifelong education, and who are constructive in healthcare.
Advising that they give great importance in their graduates being individuals who can adapt technological developments to their own fields, Bulut stated that they will also be provided with the necessary knowledge and equipment, in order for them to directly contribute to technological developments.
