Archery coaching seminar & referee training course

Cyprus International University (CIU) School of Physical Education and Sports (SPES) hosted the Coach Development Seminar and Referee Training Course which was organized in collaboration with the Turkish Archery Federation (TAF) and the TRNC Archery Federation (TRNCAF). 

The archery federation trainers attended the seminar conducted in coordination with  TAF President Abdullah Topaloğlu, and presented by TAF National Teams Technical Director Y. Göktuğ Ergin, TAF Training Board President Davut Kaya and TAF Training Board Member Ramazan Açıkgöz. 

In the seminar hosted by CIU, attendees had the opportunity to learn the philosophy of coaching, archery teaching methods, material development, traditional recurves and longbows
shooting technique, and equipment. The course, which was followed with great interest by the coaches, was delivered interactively with question-and-answer sessions in order to contribute positively to the shooting performance of the athletes in the clubs within the federation.

CIU SPES Director Prof. Dr. Ali Emre Erol stated that his contentment upon being given the opportunity to host the TRNC and Turkish Archery Federation officials and contribute to the organization of this event, and added that CIU is always ready to organize such organizations for coaches, referees and athletes in line with the negotiations reached between the two federations.

Prof. Dr. Ali Emre Erol mentioned the collaboration between the two federations, and also added that the dates for the Referee Training Course were set as November 25th and 26th  2022, and would again be hosted by CIU SPES.
