CIU attains noticeable area-based positions in THE 2025 World Rakings

Times Higher Education (THE) 2025 world university subject-based rankings have been released. Cyprus International University (CIU) has once again proven its international academic success with the rankings it has achieved in different disciplines.

CIU has achieved success in entering the 301-400 band in the field of business and economics, the 401-500 band in the field of social sciences, and the 601-800 band in the field of engineering. In the general rankings announced in the summer of 2024, the university was ranked in the 601-800 band.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asil Azimli, evaluating the rankings achieved, stated that the success of the university in area-based rankings is indicative of the determination and the intensive work carried out in the field of education and research. Azimli said, “The degrees obtained in the fields of business, economics, social sciences and engineering are indicators that CIU is increasingly recognized in the international academic community and that its education and research activities have been receiving  international acceptance.”

Noting that there are approximately 25 thousand universities worldwide, Azimli said, “The fact that CIU is in the 601-800 band among 2092 distinguished universities in the THE rankings shows that our university is ranked among the internationally accepted higher education institutions. We will continue our work in line with our goal of excellence in research and education in order to further our academic success.”
