CIU became the champion in the Ambulance Rally
In the Inter-University Ambulance Rally organized by the Cyprus Paramedic Association, the First-Aid and Emergency Aid Program of the Cyprus International University (CIU) Health Sciences Vocational School, became the champion after winning the top 3 degrees in university and team ranking.
CIU First-Aid and Emergency Aid Program lecturer Kadir Çekiç stated that they participated in the competition with 7 teams composed of students from the First-Aid and Emergency Aid program and were awarded degrees in various categories.
Stating that the Paramedic Association organized such a competition in order to improve coordination between universities and increase information sharing, Çekiç said, "In the event that took place in the Taşken Picnic area, the competition consisted of different legs such as transport, traffic accident, multiple injuries, heart attack, extricating a casualty from a motor vehicle
wreckage were created to improve professional awareness."
Instructor Çekiç stated that the 7 teams participating in the rally from the First-Aid and Emergency Aid Program ranked up in the competitions held in different stages and became champion by ranking in top 3 in the general classification.
