CIU Communication majors prepared a “Media Plan”

Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising Department students prepared  a project  with the theme “I have a Media Plan” for the “Media Planning” course and they presented their project to the leading sector representatives in the fields of Advertising, Public Relations and Corporate Communications in North Cyprus.

Projects were prepared under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Galip E. Erdil from CIU Advertising and Public Relations Department, and students created their own personal projects by combining the knowledge they learned in the theoretical lessons with the ones they learned in the applied lessons

Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdil stated that students met with 990Media director Eren Meral, who provides services in corporate identity studies, social media management and advertising. “It is an important opportunity for our students to meet with and to explain their projects directly to sector representatives where they will continue their careers after graduation”

Erdil pointed out that the project visuals and ideas were shared mutually, and said, “The appreciation of our students' own works and ideas by Eren Meral, the sector representative, motivated them. Receiving feedback on their work was also a very valuable experience for our students.”

Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdil stated that it is highly important for  the students to be informed about the expectations of the sector at such meetings and noted that they will continue to cooperate in this manner with the sector.
