CIU CPARL expands their fields of activity
The Clinical Psychology Application and Research Laboratory (CPARL), established by the Clinical Psychology Graduate Program academic staff within the Cyprus International University (CIU) launched in the 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Semester, continues to work by expanding its fields of activity.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Psychology Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Oya Somer reminded that CIU CPARL first began providing society mental health services from 20th April 2020, with the COVID-19 Psychological First Aid Line (COVID-PFAL) project, providing a counseling and support service with the Clinical Psychology Master Program students, to individuals psychologically affected by the pandemic process.
Those seeking psychological support for different reasons will also be served, in addition to COVID-19 support
In addition to the COVID-19 Psychological First Aid Line, Somer pointed out that the laboratory team expanded their areas of work in order to serve individuals seeking psychological support for various reasons, informing that all adult individuals in need of support can receive psychological support via supervision, clinical evaluation, test applications (personality tests, psychological evaluation measures, etc.) and psychological health counseling within the framework of services offered under the roof of CPARL.
In order to benefit from these services, Prof. Dr. Somer advised that the CPARL Psychological Support Line can be reached every weekday between the hours of 10.00-17.00, via the phone numbers 0548 858 96 30 and 0548 858 9638, and via the e-mail address Psikolojihotline@ciu.edu.tr.
Advising that there is no fee charged for the services offered within the scope of CPARL, Somer also stated that all work is carried out with confidentiality and expertise principles in place.
