CIU Department of Architecture recipient of prestigious awards
Based on INSPIRE rankings, CIU Department of Architecture ranks 20th in Europe and 33rd in the world In recognition of its achievements
Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture (FFADA) Department of Architecture achieved great success by ranking 20th in Europe and 33rd in the world based on INSPIRE Ranking Awards.
INSPIRE awards are given in the field of architecture and design worldwide in recognition of the outstanding achievements and are awarded annually at the world's largest student architecture competition where more than a thousand projects from 150 countries are submitted.
Prof. Dr. Cemil Atakara, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the Department of Architecture in European and global rankings and said that the INSPIRE awards show the strength and impact of the department in the international arena.
Providing information about the process, Atakara said, "This success reflects the commitment and quality of our department and university in the field of education and research. This success we have achieved has contributed to the recognition of our Department of Architecture internationally and has also increased the motivation of students and academic staff."
Atakara emphasized that receiving the INSPIRE awards motivated them and said, "This award will inspire us and act as a catalysts for future success."
He pointed out that the award in question reflects the quality and potential of not only CIU Department of Architecture but also the high standard of education across the island of Cyprus.
Atakara stated that CIU Department of Architecture aims to stand out with the quality of education it renders as well as the research activities carried out and said, "Our department will continue to maintain its leading position in the field with the wide opportunities and international partnerships it offers to its students."
