CIU School of Applied Sciences Students developed a software platform for competition
An online competition platform is being developed for the "Youth Online Folk Dance Competition" which will be held for the first time in the TRNC by the students of Cyprus International University (CIU) School of Applied Sciences.

The competition which will be held in cooperation with the Folk Arts Foundation (HASDER), Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) and CIU, and with the contributions of the Cyprus Turkish Folk Dance Federation (KTHDF), is organized in Women's and Men's categories.

CIU School of Applied Sciences Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat stated that her students will develop the online competition platform needed for the Folk Dance Competition and also provide all the necessary technical support during the competition.

Stating that it is of great importance that the aforementioned work is a real life project, Nat said that students who are working on this project will include this accomplishment in their portfolios, and this will put them one step ahead of the other graduates.

Director of the School Dr. Nat also stated that this study was carried out within the scope of the social responsibility projects of the School of Applied Sciences and added that once the work is accomplished, letters of recommendation  and certificates will be given to the students who actively participated in the construction of the platform.

Dr. Nat said that the competition will be judged by a public jury where traditional SYRTO figures will be performed.  Dr. Nat noted that those who wish to participate in the voting, would need to apply until February 9th  and can submit their votes until February 19th using the link https://hasder.org/yarismalar/
