CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, publishes a message in relation to World Health Day and Health Week
With the initiation of the World Health Organization works, 7th April is celebrated as World Health Day and the week that follows as Health Week, each year.
This week that reminds us once again that a healthy life is the most important and indispensable human right, reveals that there is a necessity for healthy individuals, who are the building blocks of society, in order for there to be healthy societies.
In this context, healthcare professionals serving the human health with their knowledge, skills, and efforts in the health sector, perform very important services both towards the society they are within and for the health of the world. The corona virus epidemic experienced during the last year has reminded us once again of how important the healthcare system and healthcare professionals are in our lives.
As Cyprus International University, aside to our responsibility of raising qualified individuals in an effort to ensure the continuity of quality health services, via the Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Faculties, School of Health Sciences and Health Sciences Vocational School, that are all located within our body, our efforts to contribute to scientific developments via the research activities we carry out are successfully continuing.
During these difficult days we are experiencing, I would like to congratulate all of our health workers on this World Health Day, who have continued to work disregarding their own lives, in an effort to combat the virus and for our society to have a healthy future and thank them for their devoted efforts in the execution of health services.
