CIU Student Placement Exam is on June 2nd

Cyprus International University (CIU) Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam (ÖYBSS) will be held in a single session on Friday, June 2nd at 10:00am-12:30pm. 

The exam will be held on CIU Campus, in Güzelyurt, and Gazimağusa.  All TRNC citizens who have graduated or will be graduating this year and students who are the citizens of the Republic of Turkey and have completed their entire high school education in the TRNC are eligible to apply.

Based on their scores in the Placement Exam, Student candidates have the option to choose from and be placed into one of the 61 Undergraduate and 7 Associate Degree programs offered in the 12 Faculties, 5 Schools and 2 Vocational Schools. Based on the contingencies provided, students will have the right to register in all the programs based on their GCE A’Level, GCE AS Level, IGCSE-GCSE O’Level exam results. 

Students who will be placed in associate and undergraduate programs based on the scores they get in  the Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam will have the chance to be granted 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% tuition waiver  scholarships depending on their exam scores. In addition to the educational scholarship that students will receive based on their exam scores, instructors, eligible students will also benefit from academic success scholarships, athletic  scholarships, alumni scholarships, and sibling discounts.  Turkish Armed Forces, TRNC Security Command and TRNC Police General Directorate Personnel and their children and spouses will also benefit from various scholarships. 

Application deadline is June 1st 2023 
Students can fill in the application form online at https://www.ciu.edu.tr/oybss,  or complete the form face to face and submit it at the Promotion Office on Campus, or they can visit the CIU stands that will be set up at their schools on specified dates.
