CIU students returned with awards from Türkiye
Students of Cyprus International University (CIU) Vocational School of Health Sciences First and Emergency Aid Program attended the VIII th National Tralli Rally hosted by Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. They were awarded the second place in the Transport Leg and the third place in the Advanced Life Support Leg of the National Trauma Rally.
102 First and Emergency Aid Program students from 16 universities competed fiercely in 9 different categories such as traffic accidents involving cars, , motorcycles, buses; falls from height, CBRN burn, advanced life support, debris/tight space, intelligence and transportation techniques.
Lecturers Kadir Çekiç and Elif İlkhan from CIU First and Emergency Aid Program participated in the competition with 2 teams consisting of Merve Yavuz, Mustafa Vurucu, Mertkan Bodancı, Mehmet Ziya Orhan, Metehan Baki Güney and Uğur Dağlıoğlu.
At the end of the competition, CIU First and Emergency Aid program students won the 2nd place in the Transportation Leg and the 3rd place in the Advanced Life Support Leg.
CIU Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Hatice Sütçü in her statement, expressed her satisfaction with the success achieved by the CIU team under the leadership of Lecturers Çekiç and İlkhan.
Reminding that CIU First and Emergency Aid program students won the first, second and third place in the 1st Uniralli competition organized by the 'Cyprus Paramedic Association' in 2022, Sütçü concluded that achieving these successful results depend on professional skills and intensive practice hours implemented in the curricula of CIU First and Emergency Aid Program..
