CIU Turkish Club organized an educational activity for the Haspolat elementary school pupils

The Turkish Club which functions under the umbrella of the Social Activities and Student Clubs Office affiliated with the Student Development and Counseling Center of Cyprus International University organized an activity at Lefkoşa Haspolat Elementary School.

At the event organized at the Lefkoşa Haspolat Elementary School, the pupils were guided to reinforce their four basic language skills through games. 

Öznur Yükalan, the chair of the Turkish Club, said, “this event was a great source of motivation and morale not only for children but for us adults as well where we found the opportunity to improve the basic Turkish language skills of the children using word games, broken telephone games, wheel of fortune, knowledge competition using bottles.”

Yükalan said they have been able to accomplish an entertaining as well as an educational activity with the elementary school pupils. She thanked the club members for all their efforts in preparing this fun activity and highlighted how such activities are significant not only as educational but also as social activities. 

Yükalan concluded by saying that the event which was like a fun-fest for the pupils was very beneficial and said they would like to organize similar events for pupils at different elementary schools.
