The CIU Vocational School of Health of Sciences is prepared for the 2021-2022 Academic year
The Physiotherapy, Pharmacy Services, Medical Imaging Techniques, Anesthesia, First and Emergency Aid, Surgery Services, and Child Development Programs within the Cyprus International University (CIU) Vocational School of Health Sciences, are prepared for the 2021-2022 Academic year.
Stating that by taking practical training in well-equipped laboratories, as well as the theoretical knowledge received from experienced and expert academic staff, the CIU Vocational School of Health Sciences Director Prof. Dr. Salih Angın advised has enabled the students who are educated within the school programs to participate in the health sector as successful technicians.
Drawing attention to the fact that students who choose the field of physiotherapy practice within the anatomy, treatment movements, and electrotherapy laboratories, Angın added that due to this they have the opportunity to enhance the information they learned theoretically.
Prof. Dr. Angın advised, “Our students who graduate from the field of physiotherapy may begin to work in a variety of companies nationally or abroad. Upon the request of the graduate, they may continue on to the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department via the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) and have the opportunity to complete their education”.
Explaining that students who choose Pharmacy Services will be able to receive practical education in the pharmaceutical laboratories, Angın pointed out that those students who choose Surgery Services or the Anesthesia Program will be able to practice within operating rooms prepared especially for them.
Prof. Dr. Angın continued by explaining that those students who choose the First and Emergency Aid program have the chance to be trained within an ambulance simulator special practical laboratory, which has been prepared especially for them.
Stating that within the scope of agreements with state and private hospitals upon the island, the students also do their professional practices in a number of hospitals and imaging centers, Angın elaborated that due to this, they have the chance to practice the theoretical training they received within their fields.
Director Angın concluded that the students of all of the programs have the chance to do internships or professional practices at state or private hospitals in Turkey.
