CIU wins world first place
Cyprus International University's (CIU) campus masterplan work has been carried out since 2017 with the ARUP company, which has been involved with significant engineering, urban planning and architectural studies such as the Sydney Opera House, The Bird's Nest Stadium, Beijing, and Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The CIU campus master plan study has won first place in the Urban Design (Built) category in the ‘Architecture, Construction and Design Awards 2020’ competition.
The study includes many different goals, such as developing learning methods that can extend beyond the classroom, strengthening the synergy between the academy and society, and further advancing the university experience of the students by highlighting the strengths of the University.

The competition also aims to pass on the projects of innovative and perfectionist companies to future generations, that manage to cope with global contemporary challenges.
