Congress at Düzce University in cooperation with CIU CBPRC
Studies on beekeeping carried out by The Cyprus Bee and Bee Products Research Center (CBPRC) will be explained in Turkey
"1st International Beekeeping and Bee Products Congress" is being held in cooperation with Cyprus International University (CIU) Cyprus Bee and Bee Products Research Center (CBPRC) and hosted by Düzce University Beekeeping Research, Development and Application Center (BRDAC).
CIU CBPRC Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkay Özgör is an invited speaker and will be sharing his experiences at the Congress which will start on October 4 at Düzce University. This year’s theme is "apitherapy.”
Özgör stated that invited speakers from 15 countries will attend the congress, and that the congress will continue for 3 days.
In his statement, Özgör also expressed their satisfaction in taking part in such an important organization and drew attention to the importance they attach as a university to beekeeping and bee products which comprise an important part of nature.
Stating that presentations will also be made at the congress on the research carried out by CBPRC, Özgör said, "We will present information about the bee products produced in Cyprus and the anticancer activities as well as antimicrobial properties of these bee products."
Özgör emphasized that a presentation will be made especially regarding nanomaterials created using bee products, and noted that information about the agricultural consultancy services of the Center and studies carried out for the development of beekeeping in Cyprus will also be shared.
Özgör also stated that following the paper presentations at the congress, there will be technical visits to the apiaries in Düzce, and that scientists will provide practical information to the participants.
