International Achievement by CIU Faculty of Pharmacy student

Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Pharmacy student Armin Moshfeghifar, is the only individual from Turkey and the TRNC, to achieve the right to participate in the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) student exchange program.

Underlining the fact that the IPSF is an important institution that has over 500 thousand members from over 100 countries, CIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yazan advised that they are proud of their student Armin Moshfeghifar, who has been selected to be in the exchange program of this institution that was established in London and is one of the world’s most important international student organizations.

Noting that within the scope of the program, Armin Moshfeghifar will be working in a pharmacy in England during the year 2022, and also making statements in relation to IPSF student exchange program, Prof. Dr. Yazan went on to say, “The aim of the program in question is to contribute to the students personal and professional development. Also, by having the chance to observe examples in different countries, the participants obtain new perspectives that they can use to improve the education and public health in their own countries”.

In continuation of her speech, Prof. Dr. Yazan stated, “It is a source of pride that our student's many years of efforts for the pharmacy profession are being rewarded with awards like this, becoming a bright example of the future pharmacy profession”.

Explaining that at the same time, Armin Moshfeghifar is also the Faculty’s international affairs coordinator of the ‘Turkish Pharmacists Association Youth Commission’, Yazan added that the students have an effective role in all the meetings and groups, in relation to the pharmacy occupation.

Adding to her statement that Moshfeghifar is active within the student club activities and has articles in the field of pharmacy, in a number of different journals, Prof. Dr. Yazan concluded, “It hasn’t been shocking for us that our student has been chosen for the exchange program”.
