Cyprus International University (CIU) International Relations graduate student Aya Hussein Elfadil won two awards at the "Best Diplomats International Conference" held at Istanbul Windsor Hotel and Congress Center which aims to encourage aspiring premiers by offering them a platform to exhibit their speech and diplomatic skills.
The conference is organized by Best Diplomats, a New York-based organization that organizes diplomatic simulations and annual conferences in five different cities including Istanbul, Dubai, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Sharm El Sheikh, with the aim to train future diplomats, encourage leadership and policy-making, and to provide the candidates with necessary skills in diplomacy.
At these conferences organized by the Best Diplomats organization, global issues are discussed to provide prospects to harness and advance opportunities for the Leaders of tomorrow. On the first day of the conference, academics, ambassadors and diplomats from Turkey, USA, Azerbaijan, Sudan, Angola, Sierra Leone, Montenegro and Trinidad guided the participants and made speeches and presentations on 'diplomacy and negotiations'.
