New student orientation activities begin on September 22nd

Cyprus International University (CIU) is preparing to meet its new incoming students for the 2023-2024 Academic Year Fall Semester with the Student Welcoming and Orientation days.

Within the scope of the orientation events organized by the CIU Dean of Students and Social Activities and Clubs Coordination Office, students will have the opportunity to get to know the university and benefit from the orientation period activities that will help them adapt to Northern Cyprus where they will spend a good number of years as a student.

According to the information released by CIU Social Activities and Clubs Coordination Office, new students will be introduced to the academic and cultural structure of the university and will be offered the opportunity to participate in a series of events that will enable them to understand the meaning of being a university student and to explore Northern Cyprus.

CIU Orientation days that aim to help students easily adapt to university life, start with a welcoming students program and a campus tour.  There will be university promotion seminars, Nicosia cultural city tours, Cyprus cultural night, sports competitions and various entertainment and  activities all of which will be sponsored by GNC youth line of Turkcell Northern Cyprus.

According to the program, the newly registered CIU students will have the opportunity to get to learn about the student clubs that are an integral part of the university culture.  The clubs will hold a festival within the scope of orientation events thus enabling  students to visit the club stands where they will be informed about club activities that will not only contribute to but also enrich their social lives.

Within the scope of the orientation program, the new incoming students will enjoy a festival of student clubs and international societies, an open-air cinema night, a treasure hunt, a color festival and finally a homecoming party.  These festivities  aim to both welcome the new students and also to motivate them for the new academic term.

Within the framework of the events, it has been reported that the internationally famous Brianna will take the stage at the Homecoming Party to be held on October 20 at the CIU Open Air Performing Arts Center, and DJ Tabaq will perform before the concert while DJ Umut Özsoy show will be the closing performance.
