Teachers Day Celebrations at CIU

Cyprus International University (CIU) Hair Care and Beauty Services Program organized a special permanent hair straightening keratin care event for CIU academicians on the occasion of November 24th Teachers Day.

CIU Hair Care and Beauty Services Program Chair Dr. Vali Gjinali stated that they traditionally organize events for CIU academics and staff on special days every year and said, “Through such activities, our students have the opportunity to exhibit and practice what they have learned in the classes, and hence they get prepared for the sector. In addition, we thus provide services to CIU academics and staff with our activities.”

Gjinali stated that the event they organized was welcomed by CIU academicians and staff, and thanked all students and academics who participated in and contributed to the event.

CIU Hair Care and Beauty Services Program Lecturer Fatma Öksüz Gjinali gave information about the event and said, “Keratin is a protein material that occurs naturally in hair strands. Over time, with processes such as dyeing, blow-drying, and straightening, the keratin layer wears off. With this application, we renew the worn-out keratin layer of the hair”.

Emphasizing that they create a protective layer on the hair strands by using the protein derivative, that is, keratin solution, which provides protection against chemical and external factors that may occur in the hair strands, Gjinali said, “The treatment creates softness and shine in the hair strands compared to the pre-treated hair.”

Gjinali also pointed out that the application in question provides permanent hair straightening up to 3 to 6 months and said, “I would like to thank our students who successfully applied these techniques. I congratulate the Teachers Day of our esteemed teachers who have stood by us.”
