Ziya Selçuk delivers the “First Lecture” of the 2023-2024 Academic Year

Cyprus International University (CIU) 2023-2024 Academic Year Official Opening and “First Lecture” will be on Monday, October 2.  Former Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, Ziya Selçuk’s presentation will be on  "Getting through Difficult Times." 

CIU continues to grow every year, and as of the 2023-2024 academic year, will be offering a total of 67 undergraduate and 16 associate degree programs in 12 faculties and 8 vocational schools, and the Institute of Graduate Education and Research offers 88 master's, 19 doctoral and 2 professional doctoral degree programs. 

The ceremony will begin with the opening speech of CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri at CIU Çevik Uraz Center Conference Hall at 10:00 am, and the new academic term will officially begin with Selçuk giving the  first lecture.

Ziya Selçuk, who served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Intelligence Foundation and a member of Group Executive Committee of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK); he also served as the Chairman of the Board of Education and Training between 2003 and 2006, and as the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey between 2018 and 2021.
